How to Survive a Long Flight
International travel is all fun and games until you have to spend countless hours on a plane to get there. Am I right?
But no worries, I have gathered some helpful tips that will help you survive a long flight.
Tip #1: Bring a Neck Pillow
The last thing you want is a stiff neck because you slept wrong. Bring a comfy neck pillow that will support your neck anytime you need a snooze.
Tip #2: Noise Canceling Headphones
Find it hard to relax or take a nap with loud noises? I hear you. Bring some noise canceling headphones. These headphones are a lifesaver. You can listen to meditative music, your favorite playlist, or podcast.
Tip #3: Stretch It Out
Do some simple yoga stretches in your seat (that don’t hit your neighbor, of course). Move your arms and stretch out your back and legs. If you can, get up and walk the cabin when you can from time to time. Also, take advantage of this time to go to the bathroom.
Tip #4: Bring Snacks
Pack your favorite snacks in your carry on bag. This will help you save money and have snacks on hand when the travel cart isn’t out. Avoid the hangry and bring your own snacks!
Tip #5: Pack a Good Book
Help pass the time with a good book that you have been wanting to read but never made the time for. You can also bring magazines as well for extra reading material.
Tip #6: Wear Comfy Clothes
I can’t stress this tip enough. Wear some comfy clothes for the flight. Wear some leggings, a tank top, and bring a light sweater that will keep you warm when they crank the plane air conditioning. Avoid wearing stiff clothes because it will be more uncomfortable as time goes by!
Those are my favorite tips to share with travelers about long flights.
I hope you found them useful and please leave me a comment below to let me know where you are headed next. I would love to know!
